PTSD Coach

PTSD Coach was designed for those who have, or may have, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). This app provides you with education about PTSD, information about professional care, a self-assessment for PTSD, opportunities to find support, and tools that can help you manage the stresses of daily life with PTSD. Tools range from relaxation skills and positive self-talk to anger management and other common self-help strategies.

PHOBOS AR

PHOBOS AR is the first markerless augmented reality tool for mental health professionals and an app for people who suffer from specific phobias. PHOBOS was designed to complement cognitive-behavioral therapies relying on exposure. It can be used both as a treatment tool during session and as an at-home complement to therapy.

Pesky gNATs

Pesky gNATs is designed to help mental health professionals deliver CBT interventions to young people. It combines gaming and mobile technology with the highest quality psychological content to support evidence-based interventions with young people aged 9-17.

Peak

Discover what you can do with Peak, the number 1 app to challenge your brain. Push your cognitive skills, train harder and use your time better with fun, stimulating games and workouts.

PE Coach 2

PE Coach is designed to be used during therapy for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with a health professional who is trained in Prolonged Exposure (PE) therapy. The app will guide you through the exercises assigned by your therapist and allows you to track and record your progress. In addition, the app provides techniques such as controlled breathing that will help you tolerate and decrease your distress. PE Coach will help you remember and track your upcoming therapy sessions. You will be able to audio record your sessions directly onto your phone so you can review them later as part of your treatment.

By itself this app is not sufficient to treat PTSD. However, those who are receiving PE treatment can work together with their therapist to use the tools in this app.

PE Coach was created by VA’s National Center for PTSD and DoD’s National Center for Telehealth & Technology.

PaarBalance

German web-based PaarBalance program, an 18-sessions online program for couples and individuals in an intimate relationship. Participants with relationship distress recruited via the internet had access to the unguided self-help program for twelve weeks.

Oxford VR

Our mission is to deliver evidence-based psychological treatments using state-of-the-art immersive technology. How it works. Automated therapy. OVR’s therapy is automated via an integrated virtual coach. Adherence to evidence-based treatment protocols is combined with genuine ease of use. Experience on demand. In VR we can create powerful simulations of the scenarios in which psychological difficulties occur, providing a safe space to try new behaviour. Learning that translates. Despite a simulated environment, the mind and body behave as if it were real. This means that the lessons learned in VR transfer into everyday life.

Online therapy unit

The Online Therapy Unit was founded by Dr. Heather Hadjistavropoulos in 2010 and the research team has received funding from multiple sources since this time.
